Main statistics and indicators on social security are calculated on the basis of administrative data collected at the scheme level and aggregated at the national level or collected directly from household through household sample surveys.

Some examples of i) indicators - indicators identified to monitor progress towards decent work - and ii) results and statistics from existing household surveys are presented below.

In the context of the Decent Work Agenda, a set of statistical indicators have been selected to monitor progress towards decent work in its inter related dimensions. In the field of Social security, the following indicators have been identified:
