G20 Labor and Employment Ministers' Recommendations to G20 Leaders
During the meeting in Washington on 21 April 2010, hosted by the US Department of Labor, the G20 Labor and Employment Ministers welcomed the ILO's contribution to support countries to face the crisis and take measures to ensure a fast recovery. In their recommendations, they call on all countries to "establish adequate social protection systems so that households have sufficient security to take advantage of economic opportunities" and they "invite the ILO to assist countries in designing and building such systems."
