2010 Report on the work of the Chinese government
The Prime Minister, Wen Jiabao summarized difficulties arisen from the economical and social fields as well as results achieved. He reviewed works of the government in 2009 and pointed out works which should be focused in 2010.
In the domain of Social Security, the government implemented more active employment policies; improved the social security system; increased the spending on national education and pushed ahead the reform of pharmaceutical and healthcare fields. Looking forward to the future, the government will mainly focus on the following works:
- Give high priority to the development of education
- Increase employment
- Accelerate the reform and development of the pharmaceutical and healthcare fields
- Improve the social security system for both urban and rural residents
